On its 75th anniversary, the High Court of Orissa made significant progress by deciding 75 criminal appeals related to murder cases. On this occasion, the Indian Postal Department released a postage stamp titled Orissa High Court.
The Orissa High Court achieved an impressive case clearance rate by disposing of 49,635 cases relating to various institutions from January 2023 to June 2023. On its 75th anniversary, the Orissa High Court made significant progress by deciding 75 criminal appeals related to murder cases. On this occasion, the Indian Postal Department released a postage stamp titled Orissa High Court. Over the years, the Orissa High Court has delivered several landmark judgements, contributing significantly to the development of Indian jurisprudence. These judgments have addressed important legal issues, protected fundamental rights, resolved land disputes and promoted social welfare matters.
The President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu joined as the Chief Guest in the valedictory ceremony of the 75th anniversary celebration of the Orissa High Court which took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack on Wednesday.The event was attended by a galaxy of dignitaries and legal luminaries. Chief Justice of the High Court Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar presided over the event.
