Gandhi Smriti Vahan on which the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were taken to the Sangam on February 12, 1948, is still preserved as a heritage on the Allahabad Museum. Gandhi Smriti Vahan is taken out every year on 12 February for public viewing.
