About this stamp
Kailashpati Mishra
Kailashpati Mishra (5 October 1923 – 3 November 2012), born at Dudharchak in Buxar district, was a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar, its first state president from 1980, and later Governor of Gujarat and, briefly, of Rajasthan.
India Post issued eight ₹5 stamps on 26 December 2016 in a Personality Series: Bihar, designed by Nenu Gupta and Alka Sharma and printed by Security Printing Press, Hyderabad, 2 lakh of each. The brochure’s scan is partly illegible, so these texts also draw on Wikipedia.
