About this stamp

On the Stamp

A road winding through green fields towards a large orange sun, with ears of wheat in the foreground.

Greetings 2007

India Post issued five ₹5 greetings stamps on 15 December 2007 for the New Year. Four carry the word “Greetings” in English and Hindi over bright paintings: a road leading into the sunset, a water lily and fish, a bird in flight, and a face with flowers and village houses. The fifth reads “Happy New Year” in English and Hindi. The five were printed together in sheetlets of 25, each stamp with a greetings label.

India Post has no brochure for this issue online, so this text keeps to the stamps themselves and the catalogues.
