Nature: India

For Republic Day 2017 the Department of Posts held an all-India stamp design competition on the theme “Nature: India”, to make students aware of their responsibility towards the natural world. Six ₹5 stamps and a ₹30 miniature sheet, issued on 25 January 2017, were designed by Nenu Gupta from the selected paintings; the brochure names fifteen participants whose entries were used across the stamps, sheet, maximum cards and first day cover, among them Krishna Debnath, S. Keerthivassan, Tripti Dutta, Souvik Datta and Mehr Vig. Security Printing Press, Hyderabad printed 301,590 of each stamp and 1 lakh sheets.
