India Post issued a ₹20 stamp on Mahatma Gandhi for Philately Day, 12 October 2013, both singly and in a miniature sheet. The design recalls Gandhi on India’s own stamps: it shows the 12 annas stamp of 1948, issued for the first anniversary of independence, and a later 75 paise stamp, behind a sketch of Gandhi walking with his staff.
