Pulse Polio Immunization
India Post issued this ₹3 definitive on 21 September 1998; Colnect records it as printed by photogravure at the Security Printing Press, Nashik, on paper watermarked with the Asokan Capital. Pulse Polio is the Government of India’s immunisation campaign to eliminate polio by vaccinating every child under the age of five, through large, short rounds of vaccination and the monitoring of polio cases. India Post’s brochure for this issue is not online, so this text draws on Wikipedia and on the stamp itself.
